AIRCON: I almost asked to be transferred to another room because it took awhile before the aircon cooled, but when it did, it wasn't that cold enough.

TELEVISION: With cable and porn channels. There is a channel guide attached above the television.

COMFORT ROOM: Clean. Heater and toilet flush are working. With bidet.

SERVICE/STAFF: Friendly. Fast.

BED: Sturdy frame. But the cushion is not held in place.

PILLOWS/BEDDING/TOWELS: Fresh and clean.

WIFI: Fast internet. Username and password are posted on the vanity table.

WILL WE GO BACK: YES.

NOTE: The room we checked into was located in front of the elevator. We could hear everybody who passes by. The rooms are not sound proofed. We could also hear the television sound from the other room and some wood knocking noise. Other than this, our overall stay was enjoyable.

MARIPOSA BUDGET HOTEL - CUBAO

AIRCON: Cold.

TELEVISION: With cable. No porn channels.

COMFORT ROOM: Heater and toilet flush are working. Without bidet.

SERVICE/STAFF: Friendly. Fast.

BED: Sturdy frame. Cushion too pliable for our liking.

PILLOWS/BEDDING/TOWELS: Fresh and clean. You can ask for extra towel for P20.

WIFI: With wifi but couldn't connect.

WILL WE GO BACK: YES.

NOTE: This is the second time that we visited Mariposa Cubao but different room. The first time we were there, we had the Mega Room which is more expensive than this Deluxe Room. (You can read our review here: http://motelhopping.blogspot.com/2016/11/mariposa-cubao.html ). Overall, our stay was great, until I saw two mini cockroaches, one on the cabinet and another on the side table. Yikes! We'll still come back to Mariposa though but we rather be in the Mega Room.)

AIRCON: old type, not cold enough

TELEVISION: Box type, No cable, No remote control, Distorted colors.

COMFORT ROOM: No Heater, toilet flush is not working and no sink drainage.

SERVICE/STAFF: Friendly, roomboy guided us to our room. Food IS good. Lots of House rules.

BED: Not held in a secure position, keeps on moving.

PILLOWS/BEDDING/TOWELS: No smell, clean

WIFI: Cannot connect

WILL WE GO BACK: NO.

NICE HOTEL - RECTO

ROOM RATE / PRICE: 585php for 6 hrs (we just wanted to try their 290php for 6hrs sadly, rooms for that rate are limited)

AIRCON: Not cold enough, water is dripping on the wall and splashing on the bed.

TELEVISION: With cable. With porn channels.

COMFORT ROOM: No Heater and toilet flush are not working.

SERVICE/STAFF: Friendly.

BED: Not held in a secure position so it keeps on bumping on the wall.

PILLOWS/BEDDING/TOWELS: No smell, clean

WIFI: Cannot connect

WILL WE GO BACK: NO.

PILLOWS/BEDDING/TOWELS: Fresh and clean.

WIFI: No wifi.

WILL WE GO BACK: YES.

GUESS HOTEL - CUBAO

AIRCON: We had to use the trash can and bucket to catch the dripping water from the aircon because the floor was already wet.

SERVICE/STAFF: They ask for ID before checking in. Not so friendly staffs.

BED: Sturdy

PILLOWS/BEDDING/TOWELS: Awful smelling.

New York Hotel - Miami, Cubao

ROOM RATE / PRICE: 525php for 14hrs

COMFORT ROOM: NOT CLEAN. No hot shower. No toilet seat. No flush. Clogged drainage. Water run out. They told us to wait for 15mins while their tanks refill. An hour passed but still no water.

AIRCON: Cold

TELEVISION: No cable and porn channel.

SERVICE/STAFF: No food service. Food ordered outside with corkage.

BED: Sturdy

PILLOWS/BEDDING/TOWELS: Pillow cases and bedsheets not clean. Towels clean.

WIFI: Can not connect to wifi.

WILL WE GO BACK: NO. The worst we've been to so far.

NOTE: There were cockroaches and the room smells bad.
